The bucket hat has come mainstream with a multitude of patterns, colours and textures styled in so many ways, it almost feels like there's a bucket hat for everyones personal style. I perosnally loved this Adidas bucket hat for summer in the UK and more so for taking with me abroad as nylon is perfect for packing away in my suitcase and keeping it's shape unlike straw alternatives that can be damaged easily and need extra care when packing for any trip.
I first came across bucket hats from fashion house Prada, and instantly fell in love with the shape and structure of bucket hats. It wasn't as formal as the classic Fedora like this one from Maison Mitchel but casual enough for everyday but still chic. I actually purchased this specific hat for holiday next month in replacement of a classic grossgrain starw hat for it's durability and easy packing.
An effortless piece that really stands out when it comes to adding the perfect accessorie to your outfit. This retro design really takes you back but also looks just as cool today as it did in the 90's. The design I opted for is very casual with a easy to clean nylon fabric and classic black finish. I find it chic but also fun to play around with when it comes to pairing it with different textures/patterns when it comes to putting my outfits together.
I wouldn't say I was a hat enthusiast but with that being said I do own a fair share of hat's now in a multitude of styles and textures to compliment my outfits/personal style. My favourite being Maison Mitchel of course as a more investment piece but I do have a cashmere beanie I bought a couple of months back from Johnstons of Elgin which I absolutely adore. I guess hand crafted items really strike me for there authenticity and craftsmanship. I just sparks my love for investing in god quality pieces and supporting designers that work hard and love what they do.
My outfit consists of some floral patterns which if you've been a reader here for awhile now you might have noticed I never include floral patterns on here or in my wardrobe! However this summer things changed and I picked up these shorts from ASOS on sale to pack for my upcoming holiday to Portugal and absolutely adore the pop of colour and the print of these shorts. They compliment my Asceno silk shirt effortlessly and just add character to a more monochrome outfit perfectly. The combat boots are from Prada and have to be my favourite boots in my wardrobe. These boots work into all my outfits with ease and go great with mini skirts to jeans that I couldn't be without them now.
