Asceno is a new brand I just recently stumbled across in the Net-a-Porter SS19 Sales and it was this exact piece that caught my eye...

The rich yellow colour of this stunning silk shirt from Asceno London really pops against everything in my wardrobe from blacks, whites, blues to khaki....

SILK SATIN PAJAMA SHIRT...

An effortless piece that really stands out when it comes to adding a pop of colour to more neutral toned outfits or for spring/summer. I actually bought this piece for going away to Portugal next month and thought it would make the perfect travel piece for comfort and ease. Silk is breathable and one of my favourite fabrics alongside cashmere; it's got a rich, luxuorious look and feel to it and nothing beats the real thing when it comes to satin garments that gimmik the look and feel of real silk. The only downside to owning silk is the fact it needs regular steaming to prevent creasing and wrinkles; this is easy enough however with the right iron/steamer.

WHY IT'S ETHICAL...

This particular shirt and the other one I own (outfit post(s) coming soon...) is made from a beautiful marigold yellow silk with an relaxed fit and lustrous mother of pearl buttons, which I absolutely adore and it just adds an extra touch of elegance to this pajama shirt for day or evening attire. This is the perfect peice if you're looking for a great wardrobe essential that can be worn numerous ways no matter what time of day and into the evening.  Silk is very hard-wearing and easy to maintain that it will last.years with the right love and attention!..

WHY ASCENO LONDON?

An important question to ask and one I'm happy to answer! Asceno was founded in 2014 with an intent to create a collection of wardrobe essentials and this is exactly what this georgeous silk shirt is to me. It's an essential in my life as I can easily style it different ways and it goes with everything in my wardrobe but also provides a pop of colour to more basic outfits; not only this but it can always be worn ready to wear or for lounging as the pajama shirt design is so versatile and has many uses when it comes to looking stylish but also comfortable and ethical with the natural materials used.
