With summer now in mid swing and the weather starting to look less bleak (always in July), it's now time to soak in the suns rays and feel the warmth on our skin. I've gone as far to get my skirt out this week and starting to embrace my summer wardrobe more but in Scotland, this is a very rare event. With all this in mind, I would like to introduce Harrods Social Butterflies - an events calendar jam packed with the hottest happenings of the summer season.
Before I dabbled in the world of Blogging I can vividly remember coming across Wendy Nguyen on youtube sharing fantastic advice on fashion and her own personal style. This is when I started to delve into the world of blogging and sharing my own interest in the luxury beauty and fashion world. Wendy from Wendys Lookbook, was and still is such an inspirational character when it comes to chic style and focusing on those wardrobe basics but putting her own classic spin on it with pops of bright/bold colours and patterns. Wendy was just one of the recognisable VIP figures at Harrods Social Butterflies hottest events and I'm sure her creative input went down a storm.
How can we forget good ol' Wimbledon, certainly one of summers hottest events year after year, and the weathers always great around this time? This is a time to soak up the sun and indulge in the finest grade strawberries you can get your hands on! Lucky for us we can choose between Kents Grade A strawberries or look a little closer to home to Scotlands finest, locally picked strawberries right next to my home town. Either way, I have an unlimited choice when it comes to the best strawberries of the season and always look towards Marks and Spencer for the best fruit or my local newsagent/farm shop for more local produce.
If you've been an avid reader of my blog you will know by now that I absolutely adore Stuart Weitzman (here & here) for his classic aesthetic when it comes to footwear and his sandals are the perfect accessory for Wimbledon dress attire followed by a bright floral dress or a classic nude dress if floral isn't quite your thing (it's not mine anyway). With it just turning August 1st (that came around quick), it's time to think about opting for pretty crochet dresses, similar to this one previously published with my favourite J Brand denim. Harrods has a wide range of stunning investment dresses to see you through the season(s) and with some nifty layering, you can really make your investment piece work all year round. If dresses aren't quite your thing or the weather takes a turn for the worst, why not opt for a denim counterpart. Denim is super versatile and looks chic paired with a crisp white blouse for events and if you want to go with classic black jeans, why not opt for a lighter denim on top such as white or dusty pink for the summer months.
Coming back to accessories Harrods Souvenirs* has a beautiful range of miniature diaries and pretty notebooks like the one pictured above, that would work perfectly into any lifestyle to jot down those important events and meetings. I've been using my notebook non-stop and find the butterfly pattern ever so pretty with the metallic finish to the art work. It's the perfect summer accessory for carrying around in my bag alongside my diary. I've actually been eyeing up the Harrods own diaries with the gold tone detailing and leather look finish.
Have you been enjoying the summer events? What're your thoughts on Harrods Souvenirs?
