I recently got my hands on the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette and let me tell you, it’s absolutely stunning. I think this has to be one of the most sought-after palettes this summer with everybody raving about it. This palette is easy to work with and the shades are really pigmented which is a nice bonus! I can’t really fault this palette and can totally see what all the hype is about around this particular palette for summer.
The palette has such a beautiful combination of mattes and shimmers to play around with and these are all warm tones with a gorgeously creamy consistency that blends like a dream.
Brows: For brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in shade Chocolate. I haven’t stopped using this and find the creamy consistency a dream to work with and even better it stays put all day even in the most humid of conditions! Base: As usual I use the Urban Decay Potion Primer as my base to let my eyeshadow last longer and show up brighter to let the different tones of orange shine through. Brow Bone: To highlight my brow bone I went with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Palette in shade “Summer” to give a warmer feel to the overall look and it goes perfectly with the orange tones of these eyeshadow shades from the Modern Renaissance Palette.
Lid: In the centre of my lid I’ve gently pressed “Raw Sienna” with “Primavera” on top for a slight shimmer to finish the lid. The matte formula of Burnt Orange works really well with the shimmer consistency of Primavera and it gives a nice texture to both shades when worked together. Crease: I’ve used “Burnt Orange” in my crease and blended out from the lid to below the brow bone for added definition and this shade is perfect for summer with the stunning orange tones that would look just as good worn alone for every day. Outer V: I’ve used “Realgar” in my outer V for a stunning pop of colour and blended out from the outer V to below the lower lash line for added definition and this shade is perfect for summer with the stunning orange tones that would look just as good worn alone. Inner Corner: I’ve used “Primavera” alone for the inner corners of my eye to give a subtle shimmer to open up the eyes and it works really well with the other shades for this completed look.
I then coated my lashes with a quick flick or the Benefit Tinted Primer and then went in with my favourite lashes from Esqido* in “Big City Nights“, these are real mink lashes and last ages! I’ve used these over and over again and they look really natural and pretty. I then used the Vichy Fluid Corrective 16HR foundation and Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped palette in shade “Tourmaline” to highlight the cheek bone and bring warmth to the face. Lips are neutral with my favourite matte liquid lipstick from Jouer Cosmetics in shade “Watermelon”, a pretty everyday nude.
