Just before the weekend, I managed to grab the Cult Beauty Summer Goody Bag worth over a staggering £175!! I know, unbelievable right? Well, it’s got to be one of my favourites yet and the products will come in very useful during the warmer months. Cult Beauty has to be my favourite one stop shop for all things luxury!! It’s one of my favourite websites for picking up the best in skincare, haircare and make-up.
I wanted to share the contents of the bag with you to let you see what’s inside and a little information on each product. These will come in perfect as a little treat to yourself on top of your order or would make a lovely gift for someone else with the cute mini sized samples and some full samples included in the bag.
First up we have the Tony Moly Rice Face Mask Sheet – This is a brand I’m very familiar with back from the day’s I was obsessed with Korean skincare. I remember a couple of years back when I got my first job and pay cheque coming in I would go on g.market.co.kr to buy the best in Korean skincare and haircare. In all honesty, I don’t know how I managed it as the sites in half English/half Korean; so as you can imagine it was pretty difficult to place an order and understand the item description. Anyway moving on, Tony Moly was one of the first brands I discovered during this phase and it’s one of my favourite Korean skincare brands on top of Skin79 (The BB creams are amazing!!). Luckily enough I never got the chance to try the Tony Moly face mask range so really excited to use this soon and give a more in-depth review of my experience. I like the fact this specific one included in the goodie bag is targeted towards oily/combination skin for people who suffer from breakouts like myself. This is something completely new to me and it’s a superfood powder by KIKI Health; It comes in a powder form and contains green foods, plant juices, sea vegetables, enzymes, algaes and bacterial cultures. The ingredients are 100% Raw and would most likely be taken with smoothies, juices and placed in your favourite dishes as a health supplement. This is something I’ve yet to try but pretty excited about this one for its health benefits and the fact it contains algae’s as these are really beneficial for the skin and overall body, mind and immune system. Next, we have something I’m all too familiar with and that’s the Pixi Glow Tonic; I’ve mentioned this in numerous posts and love how well it brightens my skin in the mornings and leaves it glowing! The best thing about this is the fact it can be used AM and PM to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells to reveal fresh skin underneath.
The SACHAJUAN Colour Save Shampoo is something I’ve been needing in my life recently after running out of my much loved Aveda colour haircare shampoo and conditioner. I have high hopes for this little bottle and looking forward to seeing how well it performs. It contains some interesting ingredients such as ocean silk technology to create shine and depth in the hair whilst providing hair with bounce. This is a full sample and another thing I also need in my eye care regime. This Eye Contour Serum by Odacite is perfect for applying morning and night with its beautiful natural ingredients and uplifting scent. I’ve just started using this and already loving the results! My eyes look more awake and brighter and I’m sure that’s down to the cold-pressed wildcrafted organic virgin oil and vitamins A, E and F. The Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Primer is something I’ve been wanting to try for months now to combat my oily skin and keep it matte all day under my foundation. This is something I’m still yet to try but I’ve heard some really good things about this and excited to see how well it performs on my skin during the warmer weather. This is my first time trying out anything from the brand Perricone MD and after coming across so many beauty bloggers raving about this brand I knew the Face Finishing Moisturiser would be a good one and boy I was right! First up we have the stunning minimal packaging, it’s matte and just looks so luxurious on the bathroom stand. The formulas really light weight and just sinks into the skin. This also works as a non-greasy primer and my makeup stays put all day using this!
The Bio Brightener Invisible Powder by W3ll People is brilliant for placing under foundation or on top for a luminous glow. This powder is now my favourite and something I can’t stop using! It makes my skin look incredible and it’s perfect for summer for its skin enhancing properties. The powders finely milled making it a dream to apply and you only need a small amount to get great results. Next up we have the Caudalie Radiance Serum, something else I haven’t tried but really should have a long time ago! Apparently one of these sells every 2 minutes, how mad’s that? If this is anything to go buy it must be good! What surprises me most about this serum is the beautiful scent, it smells really fresh and fruity with a subtle hint of what I can describe as melon(s). This is supposed to over time heal acne scarring and other deep-seated skin damage! I’m hoping to see great results with this and looking forward to buying the full version once I finish this sample. Emma Hardie is a familiar brand to me for the incredible Hot Cloth Cleanser, but with that being said I’ve never had the opportunity to try the facial oils and this one, in particular, is brilliant for brightening the complexion an giving natural radiance. I really like the therapeutic smell of this Brilliance Facial Oil and find it very relaxing and just feels like your at a spa when applying this rich oil to the face, it’s absolutely gorgeous. The formulas really light weight and instantly seeps into the skin! The only problem I have with this sample is the fact you have to shake it vigorously to get the product out due to the dropper bottle.
Le me tell you this is something that’s got me excited and that’s the Flash Facial by Sonka Dakar! This sounds like a miracle in a bottle! It works as an exfoliating treatment by applying to dry skin for 1 minute. You allow the product to set for 30 seconds then start rubbing off in circular motions to reveal soft, glowing skin. This works to remove the dead skin using lactic acid and resveratrol. Another mask received in the Cult Beauty Goodie Bag was the Mizon Vita Lemon Sparkling Powder, something I’ve never come across before and not sure yet if I like the sound of! It works by adding the powder sachets to warm water in a bowl or sink and you pat and massage your skin with the results. You can also submerge your skin in the water for a couple of minutes or use as a water mask. It’s definitely different and something I’ve never heard of before! In all honesty, I would most likely try this out following the above steps then keep the remaining liquid in a bottle to use as a refreshing toner for the mornings. I’m sure this would work as you can do similar things with the LUSH tabs after using them to steam the skin and I think this would work wonders for my skin and be the most cost-effective way of re-using the product, especially for the price!
Lastly, we have the Laura Geller Bronze -n- Brighten Powder and the Kevyn Aucoin Eye Pencil in Navy; the only two make-up products in the bag! The Bronze -n- Brighten powder is brilliant for warming up my complexion and you can use it for contouring, strobing and as a general bronzer. I wouldn’t say it was shimmery in any way and find it very subtle for everyday! As for the Kevyn Eye Pencil, this is stunning!! The navy shade is gorgeous and really opens up my eyes! I’m always one to opt for classic black when it comes to my eye pencils but this has totally converted me to trying blue tones for the summer months, it’s fun and works a treat with natural make-up. It applies really well to the waterline and to the lid, depending on how you want your eyeliner to look! The formulas creamy and soft and you can smudge it out easily for a smokey eye.
There’s not one product from this goodie bag I’ve been disappointed with and in all honesty, I could see myself buying most of these samples in the full-size versions when finished. Loved this bags contents and the bag itself, the minimal design really stands out and it’s perfect for slipping in my handbag with all my new Cult Beauty goodies and other make-up I like to keep on me.
Will you be treating yourself or someone else this weekend and trying this bag?
