I’ve put together this quick everyday makeup routine I’ve been loving recently with a mixture of pink shades to create a flattering and subtle make-up look.
Foundation & Concealer
Let’s get started with a bare face and what I’ve done is applied one of my favourite concealers at the moment called Amazing Concealer! You might have heard of this in various magazines as of late as it’s very much hyped about in the beauty industry and I can totally see why! I’m hoping to get a full review up on this soon as it gives the best coverage I’ve come across and lasts all day. I’ve applied the concealer all over my face in shade Fair but normally just apply this under my eyes and to cover blemishes but for today I wanted to demonstrate how you would apply it all over as a base before your foundation and so you can see just how well this concealer works. After Applying the Amazing Concealer I will then go in with my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in shade Mont Blanc using my buffing brush to gently work the product into my skin for a flawless even finish. If you prefer you can use your concealer over your foundation which is what I normally would do but sometimes prefers using it under my foundation as I feel it does last longer and gives a more natural finish on my skin.
Blush & Contour
For blusher, I wanted a pretty pink and went with Nars Orgasm to achieve this look and really like the matte finish with a subtle hint of golden shimmer. I love how radiant this made my skin look and it went even better with the Clinique Contour Chubby Stick to give extra definition and this contour stick is so easy to apply and blend with it’s creamy consistency. I worked the blusher onto the apples of my cheeks and gently blended this inwards using my Real Techniques blusher brush and then worked the Clinique Contour Stick in using the 301 Real Technique Contour Brush.
Eyeshadow, Brows & Mascara
For the eyes, I used my favourite palette of all time the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and this comes with a range of pretty nude shades and pearl pinks! I mixed shades Burnout, Limit and Buzz to create this pretty everyday eye makeup look and went in with the lighter shades first and finished with Buzz in the crease. To finish my eyes off I used the new Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Mascara which is just amazing if I must say! It lengthens my lashes beautiful and creates incredible volume without clumping. I think this has become my new favourite mascara and I can’t wait to use it more! I might have used just one coat for this everyday look, but highly recommend using two coats for a more dramatic look as it gives the illusion of false lashes. As always I fill in my brows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyebrow Pomade in shade Chocolate for that natural but perfectly groomed look! This is a firm favourite of mine and something I can’t live without.
Lipstick & Lip Pencil
I’ve been all about the lips lately and playing around with different lipsticks and lip liners for beautiful contrasts in colour and to add more definition for that fuller pout. For this combination, I mixed MAC Brave, a gorgeous nude pink with a satin finish and the Lord and Berry Ultimate Lip Liner in shade Vintage Rose. The Lord and Berry lip pencils really are incredible and a huge favourite of mine as they apply easily to the creamy formula and work great for filling in the lips or just for outlining. Vintage Rose is a beautiful deep pink and works really well with MAC Brave and I just adore the pretty colour contrast. What’s even better about this combination is the fact it’s non-drying and stays for hours! I often find myself having to re-apply my MAC lipstick but the longevity the Lord and Berry lip pencil is excellent.
