The Essential Christmas Day Outfit with George

The weather has been so miserable here as of late with Hurricane Abigail hitting Scotland just the day before taking these photos and rain showers in between! It’s been a very bleak couple of weeks if I must say and especially hard for blogging in or doing any sort of outfit posts, when the weathers this unpredictable from high winds to rain showers and even snow yesterday! It’s all go at the minute and we decided to take these outside the new house between painting and decorating. You might have already noticed the huge Christmas tree right behind me as it fits in perfectly with todays post on that essential Christmas day outfit.

Outfit Details: Coat: Debenhams (Similar) / Boots: G-Star (Similar with Denim finish) / Dress: George* / Tights: Marks and Spencer / Cardigan: George*

George at Asda challenged a couple of bloggers to share with readers what they would most typically wear on Christmas day! Now for me this totally depends on what we will be doing as a family on the day but normally I will be in casual wear, as I don’t treat it as an occasion I would dress up formally for and generally take a more relaxed approach to Christmas day, so relaxed you could say that I would spend as long as possible in my onesie before getting changed for dinner. I’ve put together this outfit that would be suitable for my causal wear and loved the lace detailing on this smock dress, mixed with the burgundy cardigan also from George and my favourite camel coat from the Debenhams petite range. I wanted to put something together that’s relaxed and simple and this fitted the bill perfectly! Its warm and the colours remind me of Christmas, which is a huge bonus on such a joyous occasion.

Whats your favourite outfit for Christmas? Do you prefer going Casual or more Formal?

Love the camel coat! I usually go more casual for Christmas time but I’m thinking I might shake things up this year and do something a little different.

    • Casual is my go to for Christmas and normally don’t bother applying make-up either, just keeping it simple 🙂 I do get dressed up if we have other plans or visiting other family, but we normally don’t plan things until the last minute ha,ha! x
