There’s nothing that excites me more than the stores starting to bring in there Autumn clothes and stunning must have winter coats. This year’s fabrics and designs really are dreamy and something I can’t wait to get my hands on! First up we have suede, one of my favourite fabrics as it’s subtle but chic and looks equally as stunning no matter what time of the year, it’s a great all-round fabric.
Suede’s sheer elegance really has touched my heart this Autumn and the way it softly moulds to the body and creates that tailored structure I lust after! There’s been a couple of gorgeous pieces already released and also featured in the September issue of Vogue Magazine, that being the equally stunning Marks and Spencer olive tone suede trench mac coat. This is the coat of dreams, and yes I did snap this up straight away as it’s already selling out like hot cakes! The shade is what really got me and I think it’s something different that will transcend through to winter. The olive tones will enhance the red tones in my hair and brighten up my complexion, so it really was a no-brainer to opt for this shade! I also have a suede biker jacket from All Saints, but the trench was where my heart was set just to have another classic in my wardrobe.
Ankle skimming coats really are something I enjoy wearing, even if it’s a sleeveless duster coat or the classic trench, I just find the fit perfect for my body shape and it also enhances the figure with clever waist clenching belts. Away from coats and onto something I’ve had my eyes set on since last winter and that’s the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots! You can view the 50/50 knee boots here, but I wanted the thigh-high edition too! The heel is what makes these babies stand out from the rest and of course the gorgeous suede fabric, so it’s something I’m focused on getting a few months down the line.
Another favourite I’ve been loving is the suede A-line skirt, a true classic and something I want to buy into this season to pair with opaque tights. I’ve also loved the sleeveless coat trend running throughout spring/summer so it’s great to see that incorporated into autumn/winter again!! I loved this Marks and Spencer sleeveless cashmere cardigan as it will go with so many things in my wardrobe and the fabric has a really nice shape and drape to the front making it perfect for layering with. The culotte jumpsuit has been on my mind for some time now but being petite I never really thought the style would suit me but I do love the cropped length to this one from River Island and think it would look super chic paired with ankle boots.
You might have noticed most of the items featured on today’s wish list are from Marks and Spencer and that’s because I just fell in love with these pieces! They’ve got it so right this Autumn and focused on a younger market and really brought an edge to the designs. I think Marks and Spencer haven’t really focused on the younger market over the past few years and it’s refreshing to see such simplicity coming back into the spotlight and of course the investment fabrics! Marks and Spencer have always been a place I love to shop at for certain pieces that last and for the quality fabrics such as the cashmere pieces and the trusty leather gloves.
