EDINBURGH: CHRISTMAS MARKET
Hey everyone, Merry Christmas!! 😀
Just a little post today about my adventures around and about Edinburgh last week at the yearly Christmas Markets. I wanted to get a post up for Christmas and just figured keeping it light was key, so feast your eyes on lots of photos and the odd rambling here and there.
So last Saturday me and Kyle (My partner) went to the Edinburgh Christmas markets for a little nosy and short break during our week off; I couldn’t have asked for a better day and the weather was really nice too which helps. We had a quick look around the markets and couldn’t help but notice how much nice things there was on offer! It was hard to resist, and I managed to come away with a packet of ground Irish whiskey coffee (perfect for Christmas morning 😉 normally I love a good ground coffee with Bailey’s cream, but this does nicely and tastes amazing!!).
The cheese in the last photo was very tempting, I love cheese especially different textures and flavours at this time of year and these were no exception! Homemade and you got a wide variety of flavours that you wouldn’t normally see in the supermarket or deli. We also met the cutest little guy on our travels (grey squirrel), he was so cheeky! Talking about guys we also noticed this guy “in a bucket” just outside ‘AllSaints’ on the high street, ha, ha, it’s definitely different and made me laugh! Luckily Kyle managed to snap the perfect shot and angle, but this must take some serious skill!
I hope everyone reading my blog has a wonderful Christmas, and I have already started on the Irish whiskey coffee and mince pies this evening whilst watching ‘Mean Girls’, I am not sure why I am watching Mean Girls, but I guess it just takes me back and it’s one of those films you can just watch again and again, plus its festive I suppose 😉 Tomorrow will be pretty relaxed, I definitely won’t be cooking (normally it turns out a disaster), yes you could say my cooking’s rather shit, but that’s something that can be improved on over time :’D Funny thing is I can bake deserts/sweets okay with no problems, but when it comes to main meals it just always ends up ruined, even the simplest of things such as macaroni sauce, still trying to master this without it curdling on me!
Anyway cooking aside, I will be back on Saturday with a new post and taking a short break! Posts will be daily and I have a few special posts planned for the new year such as yearly skincare favourites and 50 facts about me, so stay tuned 🙂
