Lime Crime a brand to remember, this brand really is unique and their lipsticks very bold giving Lime Crime their overall image. I have tried many lipstick colours from Lime Crime and I must say they are one word (AMAZING!). I just received this colour on Friday and was eager to do a post on it straight away as the colour really looks scary neat but once applied it looks very subtle for casual wear and would go nicely with all skin complexions from pale, tan and dark (I will provide a visual lipstick guide link below). If you are thinking of buying from Lime Crime you can expect the colours to be bold but do not fear as they work really well and are the best lipsticks I have tried for colour and staying power!
First up is the packaging (How Cute!) really though the packaging is super nice and very easy to store away. The lipstick comes in a pretty box with a sparkling unicorn as the main product image and lime crime opaque lipstick just below. Once you open this up you will find the cutest lipstick case ever! combing a unicorn again with pretty star detailing and lots of sparkles. Lime Crime is a vegan company so all products are natural (they also do eyeshadows) and they do not test on animals which is a plus. These lipsticks are loaded with pigment for maximum impact, and that they do bring. The lipstick glides on very well and lasts hours I have tested this and even eating and drinking does not remove the colour but I must admit they do stain the lip, D: but this really does not affect the overall use of the product and when using the lighter shades you have nothing to worry about (the darker shades leave a stain but this can be easily removed).
The colour really is pretty combing a beautiful berry-purple shade with a shimmer and violet glow. The poisonberry lipstick also combines a lipstick and lip stain in one for prolonged wear. This has to be the best lipstick colour I have ever tried as it suits my skin tone and hair colour ever so well out of all the purple shades I have. As for the lipstick, I like the texture and the staying power, however, it can dry out your lips so a trick I do is apply a small amount of lip balm before applying the product or after, all this does it lock in moisture so your lips do not feel over dry. I purchased my lime crime products from cute-cosmetics and my experience with them was great and they provided FREE P&P when you spend over £15, so as I do I buy more to grab the free postage promotion. My products arrived within 3 day’s and I will post the other items I got from cute cosmetics in the next following weeks every Sunday.
Lime Crime Poisonberry Lipstick – £11.50
Lime Crime is an American based company and to get your hands on their products really is a task in itself, so below I have provided 3 UK websites I have found including eBay that were submitted to me from a lovely blogger. If you do want to buy from the US website delivery can take up to 6 weeks and costs more for P&P so I do recommend the UK websites below when purchasing. I will be adding photos of lip samples tomorrow afternoon 😀
