WOW, What a weeks it's been and definitely a great start to 2018!! I've started sharing my content again and getting back into the swing of things after not posting much over the past month(s). December was a great month for grabbing new pieces to add to my wardrobe and I managed to pick up a dope pair of boots from one of my all-time FAVOURITE designers, Alexander Wang.
Is it just ME that wants to stay in bed all day after peering through the curtains in the morning to be awoken with dark skies and rain! YES, this has been my week so far! Every morning this week this has been my awakening and even worse it lasts ALL day!... Depressing or WHAT?? Don't get me wrong it's not all that bad as I'm pretty used to it living in Scotland my whole life but some day's you just feel like curling up into a ball and sleeping it away in the warmth of my own bed. I can't really complain, I'm not being forced to work early mornings and having the freedom to wake up at any particular time but I do love my early waking routine and working on my website content and cleaning the house. Starting work in the afternoon really does have its perks for these the reasons above and for days when I'm feeling a little lazier.
Anyway moving on from my rambles and onto the OUTFIT! This is my go-to attire when it gets chilly outside - AND I MEAN CHILLY. I think on this particular day (Saturday 6th) it was -3 degrees outside. So me being me OR shall I say US, myself and Kyle decided to grab a coffee from one of our favourite local cafe (The Singing Kettle FYI) to warm our hands up and also to wake up. Not going to lie it was around 1 PM at this point - so you could say we slept in, rather late. Coffee in hand we then had a short drive out to a more scenic spot to shoot this outfit and captured the sun setting as we done, it gets dark here really quick, unfortunately; but overall I loved the outcome of these images.
You might have seen these glasses on my website before and here's one of my favourite posts, Harlow this Harlow that wearing the same glasses from Glasses Direct. I absolutely LOVE these glasses and actually just recently came across a more expensive pair from Gucci that look INCREDIBLE... Yep, I might have just wish list these too! I'm a sucker for these types of frames and feel they suit my face shape really well and love the fact the Gucci glasses come in a light gold finish to the hardware which really strikes me as I love gold hardware, as it really pops.
I couldn't believe it when I managed to snap these up on SALE, Yes, it wasn't a HUGE discount but it was still better than nothing and I couldn't be happier with them! Alexander Wang has always caught my eye for his captivating designs but minimal vibes when it comes to his footwear and clothing collection(s). I own a couple of pieces from him now as I gradually work on reinventing my wardrobe with the basics being some investment pieces from my favourite designers or just good quality fabrics that will last years and I've definitely learned a lot through this journey to creating something I'm happy with and reducing the number of clothes/shoes I need..
As a matter of fact, this is my SECOND pair of Alexander Wang boots and you can view the other pair in a style post from years back here when I replicated Rhianna's style, who's also a huge fan of AW. I really hate how I look in that post if I'm completely honest but it just shows how much I've changed since 2016 and it's always a great aspect to look back on my personal growth and the changes made over the year(s). These boots stand out SO much with the floating heel design, finished with a silver pin hardware to keep the heel secure to the sole of the boots.
My makeup is neutral with a popping eye using my new favourite shadow palettes from JUVIAS PLACE. The specific palette used in this post is the Zulu Palette which has a stunning combination of brights and these work well to compliment my Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid matte lipstick in the shade Sepia, which has to be one of my favourite shades for fall with the warm brown tones.
Furla is a whole new ball game when it comes to designer handbags and I absolutely adore this piece for every day. It's the perfect day bag for carrying my essentials and just large enough for what I need. In fact, it's one of my favourite bags and I love the pebbled leather finish and how minimal the bag is overall. Surprisingly for a designer brand, it's very low key and not flashy at all, which is why I knew it would work well into my wardrobe and it would be something that I'd used often enough to justify the price. In all honesty, I picked this up on sale also as I love a good bargain and always look around for sales before parting with my cash.
