KHAKI & FOREST GREENS
If there's one thing I LOVE about this time of year it's the fact I can get all of my khaki and forest green hues out of the closet to embrace the colder weather as we head through Autumn into the depths of Winter. I'm crushing over satin fabrics and picked up this little number from AQ/AQ, which is in-fact very luxurious and contours to my body really well with it's loose fitting sleeves and drape to the front. This is, of course, a bodysuit which I'm wearing more and more now for the ease of style and comfort. I find bodysuits really flattering and super simple to throw on with a pair of jeans for day or night.
LACK OF ENTHUSIASM
I'm not going to lie I haven't been as committed to my website space as I should be and really let things slip in the way of frequent posts (3x a week) and social media shares. I just felt really uninspired these past few months and never like to force anything out when it comes to the creative process and just figured I would take a step back and focus on other areas in my life for the time being; with that being said I'm feeling much more enthusiastic as winter is approaching as it's my favourite time of year. I feel more enticed to sit down and produce content during the winter months as it just feels natural! Summer, on the other hand, can have me all over the place and more interested in staying out in the sun and enjoying long walks. I guess you could say living in Scotland makes you appreciate the summer months more as we don't get a long summer and its practically like winter here all year round. I have however been focusing on YouTube and dabbling in this for some time now and really enjoying the creative process of this and sticking to one weekly upload every Sunday at 7 PM.
Ohh I Miss This!....
I've missed posting to my personal space and really excited I've got the writing bug again and can't wait to get sharing my outfits with you all again! It's something that's really personal to me and enjoyable so it's great to feel inspired again after a short(ish) break to produce fresh content and rework my wardrobe. Yep, I've been doing so much needed cleaning out in terms of shoes, bags and clothes and it feels great!! It's just good for the soul to get everything I don't wear out the way and replacing these pieces with fresh new seasonal pieces.
I even bought into my first EVER designer handbag the other day.... Yes, a mighty jump and something I wasn't anticipating until after the Christmas season but lo and behold I GOT IT!!! I couldn't be happier mind you...I'm all about shoes and never even thought about bags until late after coming across Aspinal of London. They offer such beautiful styles and leathers I couldn't resist getting in on the action. This is definitely a whole new me and if you are wondering, I picked up the black pebbled leather Lottie in size small. It's the perfect size for carrying all of my essentials and it was the safer option of two. Let me explain, I had my eye on the Velvet Lottie beforehand but kept turning it down due to the nature of the fabric; however, I don't regret buying the leather first hand but will most definitely be going back to purchase this at a later date. It's more of an evening bag as the fabric is very delicate and the pile can be easily damaged without due care but I baby most of my items so I think it's my next splurge....
Do you love khaki greens at this time of year? If so do you have a favourite piece in your wardrobe??
