I can't even tell you the last time I picked a pretty lace blouse out of my wardrobe as I always find them dressy for more casual occasions, but after coming across this pretty Alice Temperley piece from John Lewis I knew it would fit seamlessly into my wardrobe for the summer months.
Somerset by Alice Temperley.....
This piece is simply stunning with the delicate finish to the lace fabric that makes it really light-weight and most importantly sophisticated. The ruffle detailing to the flared sleeves makes for the perfect statement piece when it comes to adding more interested to your casual wear. I personally love this piece and find it so flattering on the body as it really stands out and fits nicely in the right places to give shape and leaves you looking very chic when teamed with a pair of cute heels or sandals for summer. I opted for boots on this occasion as the weather's been really cold and miserable as of late and I find the nude tone of these boots works really well with the overall outfit.
If you're looking for delicate fabrics this season, you need to check out the Somerset by Alice Temperley line for soft, light-weight fabrics to beat the heat this summer. The tie neckline to this blouse adds a certain element to the blouse that you can play around with to create an array of different looks. This blouse could seriously work for most occasions as it's very versatile the way it's been designed and could fit into any wardrobe no matter what the season or occasion.
I personally think this outfit looks really fresh for summer with the lightweight fabrics. It oozes femininity, and the red lipstick makes for the perfect finishing touch to this outfit against the black tones of the blouse. I went with a subtle make-up look and let the red lipstick stand out here but also opted for oversized sunglasses from Quay Australia, which I can't stop wearing. These glasses are so pretty with a rose gold tint to the lenses and rose gold hardware. I decided to take my Spectrum Brushes bag for a spin with this outfit as I loved how the metallic detailing popped against the outfit and I just find it so pretty....
