Super Smoothies using Wileys Finest Fish Oil

Sadly where now coming into the season where local berries will no longer be available and I want to make the most of this fact by stocking up on my favourite local berries and making my favourite energy boosting smoothies. What’s special about these smoothies is not only the best of local produce but the fact each one contains super foods such as Chia Seeds and Fish Oil.

I’m overly obsessed with super foods and always stock my favourite powders, seeds and oils to add into my smoothies to get optimum results. Maca powder is a current favourite of mine and this goes just as well with chocolate, berries and milk without the added spring greens to give you a nice chocolate kick. Bee Pollen is another super food I’m very fond of and something I use religiously in smoothies for a quick sweet kick and for its skin boosting properties. I will guide you through three of my favourite smoothies at the moment and two of which are in the images above and I can’t stress how easy these are to make every day if you’re looking for a super smoothie on the go.

This smoothie has a little of everything and makes for the perfect lunch time snack with its skin boosting properties from the Chia Seeds and Wiley’s Finest Orange Fish Oil*. The mix of berries and spring greens adds for a nice sweet kick. You might have heard me mention Wiley’s Finest on here before when I was trying out the capsules, however this is a new liquid form which I prefer more as it’s much easier to consume straight or added to my favourite smoothies for a quick health boost. It’s packed full of skin nourishing omega-3, Vitamins A and D and the super antioxidant Astaxanthin. This is a natural product made from the finest ingredients and it’s something I take every day as part of my daily vitamin intake.

This is very similar to the recipe above but with slightly less ingredients and most vegetable one of the quickest methods to make on the go if you’re stuck for time. Packed full of essential minerals and vitamins this will sure keep you going and give you a nice energy boost. Chia Seeds are rich in fibre, omega-3 fats, protein, vitamins A, B, E and D and minerals; you could say these are an essential in your kitchen if you’re looking to completely change your diet for a healthier lifestyle. Rich in Antioxidants, Chia seeds are sure to slow down the skin ageing process and repair it quicker with its high antioxidant properties.

  • I love smoothies and I keep trying different ones, however, I’ve never made one with oil in it. It’s actually a great idea, at least then the body gets all these essential elements. Chia seed and berry mix is one of my favourite.

  • I’d never think to add fish oil to my smoothies but it sounds like a fab way to extra nutrients without really thinking about it! Your recipes sound yummy, I’ll have to give them a try 🙂 x
