You might remember Sleek appearing on here frequently but this will be my first updated review of the brand in a long shot! I actually can’t remember the last time I featured SleekMakeUP on here but it must be a good year or so back now. These brand new power plump lip pencils absolutely blew me away with their power plumping properties and nourishing ingredients. I wasn’t expecting much from these pencils, but they’ve definitely proven themselves and just give that extra wow factor to a simple everyday makeup look or worn on top/beneath other lipsticks for a stunning effect.
Product Details: Sleek MakeUP Power Plump Lip Pencils*
There are six Power Plump Pencils in a variety of shades from your brights to more neutral nudes; My personal favourite being “Notorious Nude”. You might have already noticed the fact I’ve used this constantly in the very top image as there’s not much product left, oops! What’s great about these is the fact you don’t need to line your lips and can just quickly apply each shade with ease. the variety I really love the texture and finish of each power plump pencil, the ingredients feel really nourishing on the lips and the colour stays put really well and I really can’t fault these! I love my mattes but these give a pretty non-gloss finish to the lip with a more satin finish.
With staying power and pigmentation aside I want to delve deeper into the shades themselves; first up we have my favourite of the six shades Notorious Nude, this is the perfect nude as it’s creamy in texture and very lightweight with a stunning balance of pink and brown undertones. The next nude from the collection is Colossal Coral, a pretty coral lipstick that gives a nice wash of colour to the lips but still keeps it subtle. Lastly, we have Power Pink, a pretty burst of pink that will brighten up any complexion and give a natural glow to the skin, again this shade is very subtle and not at all bright.
Next up we have the brighter shades in the collection starting off with Raving Rouge, one of the brightest shades from the range in a stunning stain true red that really brightens up the complexion and would make for the perfect everyday red. Autumn is starting to gradually make itself known, especially at nights when it’s starting to get much colder and for this reason, I think Berry Burst will be a huge hit this season for its gorgeous deep mauve hue. Lastly, we have Fully Fuchsia, one of the brightest shades from the range and I wasn’t overly excited about this shade but once on it actually suits my complexion really well and I love the intensity of this shade.
What’re your thoughts on the new Power Plump collection? Have you tried these shades yet?
