If you’ve ever had that slight niggle to go or even try Gluten Free then this is the post for you! I’ve carefully put together the best of the best of everything gluten-free that I personally use daily as part of my diet and gluten-free journey. I’d first like to point out that I’m in no way fully gluten free but swapping my normal pasta, bread, cereals and snacks for gluten-free alternatives.
I’ve put together the best gluten-free snacks I’ve tried and I think you guys will love them just as much if you’re planning on going down the same route! Everyone has different reasons for going gluten-free, some say it’s just a fad but others regularly believe it’s life-changing. My reasons come down to my skin, suffering from acne since my teens have always been a truly major trouble of mine and have tried every treatment, skin care miracle and medication going I wanted to make a change to my diet to see if it would make a difference after truly the benefits of gluten free produce. Yes, I can confirm it’s made a difference in my skin and I haven’t been breaking out as much and my skins now finally starting to clear up.
This change in snacks has really helped my skin and I’ve noticed more of a glow coming through and natural researching dewiness to my skin! My researching levels have also increased and I feel better for swapping my usual crisps, cakes and biscuits for gluten-free options such as the high protein snack bars and Ape Curls (also great for those gym bunnies). The Ape Coconut Curls have a very peculiar taste, to begin with, but you soon get used to the texture and taste and they have to be one of my favourite snacks now to eat on the go. Having few little calories these coconut curls go down a treat and you get a choice of lightly salted or slightly peppered. My next savoury kind of snack is the Super Seeds Pumpkin 9 Bars, these are packed full of savoury goodness and high in fibre and protein. I normally eat this before the gym for a quick morning boost and they come in super handy for popping in my bag.
Next, we have my favourite section of gluten-free snacks and these are more of your everyday sugary treat replacements. UGLY is a non-sweetened fizzy drink without artificial ingredients and makes for the perfect healthy replacement to your everyday fizzy drinks. Grape Fruit and Pineapple is definitely my favourite option and the fact both of these flavours are only made with such little ingredients entices me to keep drinking these as a replacement to other sugary treats if I feel like a fizzy kick. I must admit having dropped fizzy drinks from my diet a good couple of years back now I was always longing for a natural alternative and beginning to notice more and more natural drinks coming onto the market; however with that being said UGLY really stands out to me as it’s packed with natural flavours and just sparkling water, minimal ingredients and they taste really refreshing, what more could you want?
Lastly, we have the ultimate of gluten-free snack bars! These do come up pretty expensive but if you’re replacing these for your regular slice of cake, chips and cheese or burger, I’m sure you’ll begin to see the benefits. TREK is a new brand I got introduced to through my partner and I absolutely love the variety of flavours this brand offers when it comes to variety those cravings. I’ve picked out my favourite flavours such as Banana Blast, Peanut Power and Berry Blast. You can’t really go wrong with these high protein bars and they also taste just as good! satisfying enough they actually remind me of the Strongly bars which you can view my post on here. The texture is very much the same but the TREK bars are much larger in size and thicker, so a great choice if you go to the gym regularly need a larger snack during the day.
