It’s (almost) obligatory to do a ‘what’s in my bag’ post and today I thought I’d share the contents of my current work bag and everything I carry around with me during the week.
This is actually a new handbag I received from ILEX London* last month (full post here), and one I’ve been loving for packing all of my work/business essentials in for its roomy interior and hand zip pockets to the inside. The leathers butter soft and super easy to clean and keep fresh, with the stunning khaki finish and metal detailing to the handles and zips. Starting with essentials, I’m never without a good notepad and pen and I picked this new notepad up last weekend from Paperchase as part of their new SS16 collection, and just fell in love with the Jungle Leaf print. In all honesty, I picked it up to fit in with my new iPhone 6 case from caseapp* as both have a similar design and pleasing matte finish that feels amazing to touch and look at all day during the summer months.
My iPhone never leaves my side and I always try to keep a protective case on it to prevent damage and scratches where possible as I’m forever dropping it!! I always carry reading glasses for taking notes and reading magazines for inspiration and these ones from London Retro* have a fascinating gold finish to the frame, which I think looks really eye-catching for every day and just gives my reading glasses some much-needed character instead of your regular plain designs. Hand cream is always a must-have for me and to take on the go to keep my hands soft and hydrated throughout the day! I always make sure to carry travel size hand creams* when I can, as they come in so much easier to use and store away without any accidents, that could possibly ruin the interior of your handbag.
I don’t normally carry money in my work bag and keep my purse in my day bag(s), I do however carry floss picks for in-between meals and snacks during the day and kindly received these travel packs from DenTek* a couple of weeks back! I actually use this brand and Wisdom brushes, which work just like floss picks but have a small brush head on the end. You can pick up huge packs full of floss picks from the likes of Boots and Superdrug but when DenYek sent out the travel case packs I was hooked! They come in handy for storing your picks in and keep everything tidy in your bag. Lip balm and Lipstick make for the best handbag essential as these are my most used products throughout the day for keeping my lips hydrated and topping up my lipstick. MAC Taupe is my current go-to nude for weekdays as it’s subtle for work but gives some much-needed colour to my lips. These Jelly Belly balms smell amazing and come in so handy for throwing in my bag to keep my lips soft and hydrated.
Lastly, we have vitamins, this is something I don’t get enough of and that’s why I now store my essential vitamins in my work bag to take at work or during times I have water to hand. Fish Oil is something I take religiously, as it’s perfect for growing your hair, nails and keeping your skin healthy with omega 3 and other vital fatty acids. I’m currently using Wiley’s Finest Wild Alaskan Fish Oil capsules as I find them easy to take and they’re packed full of high-quality ingredients without the need for bulking agents or other unnecessary ingredients. Vitamin C is another vital vitamin I take every day to boost my energy levels and keep my skin and immune system in good condition. These Vitamin C tablets by Seven Seas are really easy to use! You just pop one tablet into water and it dissolves quickly; Again these tablets don’t contain artificial substances or colourants and taste delicious to add to my water for a quick vitamin boost.
If you want a custom-made phone case from caseapp then make sure to use my code “KRYSTELC20” at the checkout. Caseapp does some amazing pre-made designs but you can also create you are own custom made case with a range of features and the choice between a matte and glossy finish.
