If there’s one product duo I don’t see beauty bloggers talk enough about is shampoo and conditioner. I’m forever blogging about this duo as it’s something I use every other day and something I’m more than passionate about as my hair is after all my comfort blanket. If my hairs not looking good on that specific morning I will not feel good and it can potentially spoil my day as my hair does give me more confidence and it’s something I like to take extra special care of, especially after years of constant colouring and damage.
I’m really excited about today’s duo as it’s budget friendly and NEW!! I’ve used Palmer’s before but this is the first time trying the haircare range and I’m really impressed with the results so far and for the price. The smell really is incredible and very sweet; I absolutely love it and it lingers for hours after use. Just like edible Manuka Honey Palmer’s also source directly from New Zealand; this being the most credible place for high-quality honey. This hair duo leaves my hair so soft and really bouncy the next day and it’s not even labelled as a volumising shampoo and conditioner. You can see from this photo on my Instagram how much volume it gives to my hair and leaves it really shiny too! I’m more than impressed and thrilled with the results.
What I loved most about this duo is the fact it’s free from parabens and sulphates; this being all the nasties you get with more budget haircare brands that strip the colour of your hair. I always avoid these ingredients because I colour my hair and I want the colour to last as long as possible so most always invest in higher end haircare brands but definitely going to buy this duo again. The shampoo and conditioner is jam-packed with nourishing ingredients to strengthen the hair and not to forget vitamins to give incredible shine. and boost natural growth. The shampoo lathers beautifully and you don’t need much to get a good first wash but I use slightly more because of my hairs so long and thick! I always go in for a second wash to leave my hair completely clean and free of product.
The conditioner is thicker and I enjoy using this on the ends of my hair to strengthen the ends and leave them well nourished. As for the finished oil, this is very luxurious and just like other hair oils I’ve used in the past and still do today you only need a tiny amount and I smooth this through the lengths and ends of my hair to combat frizz and keep the ends sleek. I most often apply this to damp hair after washing and comb it through so the oil is evenly dispensed to avoid build up and creating oily, limp locks. I think the oil would work extremely well for travelling with and even for taking on holiday to protect your hair from heat damage! It smells slightly more subtle compared to the shampoo and conditioner and by using the oil it the scent lingers in the hair all day.
