MOA Aphrodite Facial Oil

As someone with oily skin, I’d never have thought facial oils would work for my skin type and make it even more oily and prone to regular breakouts. However, this is totally not the case and I’ve actually been using facial oils more than my regular cream moisturisers for the past couple of months now.

Product Details:  MOA Aphrodite Facial Oil*

I’ve had my fair share of oils from high-end to completely luxury; that, of course, being the Sunday Riley Luna oil. Today I have the MOA Aphrodite Facial Oil and can’t even tell you how much I’ve been loving this but I’ll do my very best to bring this to justice. First of all what makes this oil really special and stand out amongst other oils I’ve tried is the fact the MOA oil is manufactured in England and packed full of organic ingredients. I like how they’ve themed this oil on Aphrodite, the Goddess of love and beauty it just gives the overall experience a certain edge and it would most definitely make a lovely gift for someone special with the incredible attention to detail on the packaging and glass bottle.

I love how I can just apply this to the skin using the handy diffuser knowing that it’s packed full of natural and skin benefiting ingredients that leaves my skin ever so soft, hydrated and radiant. The ingredients include Organic Yarrow, Rosehip oil (perfect for healing the skin) and Damask Rose Oil to purify the skin. I enjoy applying this every morning to wake my skin up and get it prepped ready for my makeup base. It gives a natural radiance to the skin and the scent really is dreamy, you can most definitely smell the geranium coming through! It’s really strong but not at all overwhelming, it’s very pleasant and somewhat relaxing. It’s really light on the skin and not heavy and instantly absorbs into my skin like some sort of skin drink. The fact this is antioxidant-rich can only be doing good for my skin and helping form a protective barrier to keep environmental damage at bay and keeping my skin in the best possible condition it can be.

Overall this is a beautiful everyday oil from MOA London that’s gentle enough for all skin types and doesn’t leave a residue so you can start applying make-up almost straight away. I normally like to give it a couple of minutes to let it fully sink in before applying my makeup. The best benefits are the vitamin-packed rosehip oil to ward off premature ageing with Vitamins A, C and Essential fatty acids. I’m still using this oil and will continue until the bottle is finished and even treat myself to more as I’ve really enjoyed using this oil and seeing the results as my skins appear much calmer and less red after applying this oil. With that being said my skin has really improved overall and I’ve also encountered no breakouts whilst using this oil and love using this in the mornings then using the SR Luna night oil for evenings Hooked!.

Do you enjoy using facial oils as part of your skincare routine?

I try to stay clear of anything oily just as I can get quite oily skin, but lately I have been drying up a fair bit around my hair line and nose so it might be time to try something like this, your photo’s have definitely drawn me in.

  • I just started using a Rose Hip oil on my skin at night, I think it would be too heavy (at least the one I’m using) for morning use. I haven’t really noticed a difference yet, but I hope to! This one is absolutely adorable. I love the packaging- it’s so much more enticing to use something that looks this gorgeous as well!

    • The packaging is beautiful isn’t it? Very natural looking and that’s what I love about it 🙂 I’ve noticed an improvement in my skin and always enjoy using this in the evenings as it’s very relaxing too! 🙂 x

  • I have combination skin and I thought the same about oils for a long time too! But I just love how hydrating they make my skin feel, now that I know they’re not the enemy lol. This oil looks great and I love the attention to detail on the packaging as you said. I also love that this oil own rose hip oil, that ingredient is just so amazing and it always helps with everything that needs fixing on the skin.:)

Love that this oil absorbs into the skin, I don’t really get on well with oils that just sit on the skin- it makes me feel like I need to wash my face or something. I don’t really use oils on my face (still worried they’ll break me out) but they’re supposed to be so good for your skin so maybe I’ll try one out in future.
