There’s a lot of things to love about this time of year; lighter evenings, warmer weather and above all new beginnings. This is the perfect time for transitioning my style and losing the layers for more lighter fabrics to embrace spring in style. I’ve pulled together the perfect outfit that I personally find subtle for every day and evening wear.
What I love most about this outfit is the simplicity of it and the beautiful mesh fabric of this Apricot Midi Skirt. Let me tell you a little secret, this is actually the first time I’ve ever worn a midi skirt and I loved it! I wanted to make this less feminine and teamed the skirt with over knee boots from Stuart Weitzman (A brand new purchase of mine and something I’ve lusted after for a good year now! Ahh!!). These boots add so much edge to this outfit and I really like how well they go with a longer hemline to add more interest to my casual attire and this is how I would typically style longer skirts in the autumn/spring.
The block heel makes these over knee boots extra desirable for their timeless appeal that can be worn during the weekdays and not just for a night out. To smarten things up I went with my trusty polo neck for warmth and most importantly style, as it looks super cute tucked into the midi skirt to accentuate the skirts mesh fabric. This All Saints suede biker was the perfect investment a year back and something I always enjoy wearing when I can and thought it was perfectly matched with the suede boots to keep my fabrics and textures similar. I’ve featured this Love Moschino bag lot’s on my blog and sadly the design has been discontinued but they do have new styles available.
