Cleanse Tone and Moisturise following my nightly skincare routine with some important products I use every other day. This routine has really helped with balancing my skin and preventing breakouts whilst leaving my skin hydrated and glowing ready for the next day.
Step One. Cleanse
I always aim for a good cleanser that removes makeup with the gentlest impact and currently love Cor Soap and Eve Lom for this aspect. These brands are perfect for gently melting away make-up of the skin and leaving me fresh faced! I normally use my Foreo Luna with my cleansers for a much deeper clean in the evenings.
Step Two. The Scrub
I might use a separate scrub but find Cor Soap works perfectly for exfoliating the skin whilst cleansing without the need for a separate exfoliator but when that time comes I do enjoy the Alpha H range for this purpose and find the scrubs really gentle but effective.
Step Three. Tone
Some people don’t see the point in using a toner but I certainly do! I notice after cleansing I can still have some makeup residue and toners always help to clean this away to leave the skin absolutely clear! This is a must for those who suffer from acne and breakouts and that’s why I like to put in the extra effort in the evenings to make sure my make-ups fully removed so my skin can breathe. I’m currently using the Pixi Glow Tonic in the evenings but it’s so gentle you can also use it in the mornings too! This toner helps to exfoliate the skin to reveal glowing skin by removing dead skin cells and plumping the skin. This toner helps set the foundations for my next product being my night time oil as it leaves the perfect base for this to work into my skin and actually heals my acne up much faster compared to using no toner at all. I most normally use the La Roche Posey Serozinc toner in the mornings as part of my makeup base as it works wonders for oily skin by keeping oil at bay and leaving a beautiful matte base ready for my primer and foundation. This has to be one of the best toners I’ve come across for acne and blemish prone skin as it also helps to treat the skin once applied and prevents future breakouts.
Step Four. Seal
I finish my nightly beauty regime with either Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil being one of my most sought-after luxury oils or the Dermalogica Medibac Overnight Clearing Gel for comfort and to treat my skin whilst I sleep by fading acne scarring and preventing future breakouts.
Step Five. The Mask
This comes in as part of my every other day routine as it is not something I opt to use every night in case it overworks my skin. Masks give an instant boost and therapeutic effects as part of my skincare routine. Clay formulas work especially well with my skin type and GlamGlow is my favourite at the moment as it also exfoliates the skin and leaves me fresh-faced after removing the product and my skin generally looks renewed and glowing.
What’re your thoughts on these skincare products? Have you tried them?
