Exotic and magical, the best way to describe the new The Body Shop Spa of the World range. Just back from traveling around the mesmerising island of Rhodes Greece it’s the perfect time to relax over the weekend and take everything into perspective. I’ve been using these products for the past couple of weeks now but decided to travel light and can’t wait to use them again tonight. I had the most life changing experience whilst away it’s taking me time to even contemplate being back to the usual and get into blogging again! I’m super excited to be back and definitely feel I’ve got the travelling bug now and can’t wait to get posts up soon of my travels around Rhodes. It’s unusual being back to the long cold nights after spending so long in the warmth, that these products come in perfect for Autumn/Winter to wind down with.
Just arriving back during the early morning I’ve spent today sleeping and catching up on some TV, and just away to enjoy The Body Shop Spa of the World products as we speak! The whole range is incredible and I’ve especially loved the Dead Sea Salt Scrub.
French Lavender Massage Oil* – This has to be one of the best massage oils I’ve come across with the added bonus of Lavender oil to relax the muscles and ease stress. I’ve had other massage oils from The Body Shop in the past and felt they where slightly over priced for the amount you received, but this bottle comes with allot of product and definitely will last you a very long time. The oils comes with a thick liquid base and doesn’t dry into the skin instantly, making it last longer and you only need the smallest amount. I’m a huge fan of Lavender oil and it’s the only essential oil I reach to when my muscles are aching and I want a good nights rest. It’s very calming and a true must have for any pamper night! This oil also leaves my skin so soft and also helps with razor rash by soothing redness. You can also apply a small amount of the oil onto your pulse points to instantly relax the mind and induce a sense of calmness. The Lavender oil is sourced from the South of France making it perfect for a romantic night in with your other half.
Egyptian Milk and Honey Bath Powder* – I must admit this is the first time I’ve experienced the luxury of using a bath powder! I absolutely loved the experience and this certain bath powder from Spa of the World range. It’s very relaxing and smells amazing! I love milk and honey so it was fascinating to have both ingredients combined into this powder. It’s the perfect match for late night baths and just gets you ready for bed and my skins left feeling incredibly soft and hydrated. The packaging really got me and I love the whole concept but do feel it’s not very particle for the bathroom, just incase it gets damp so I just store mine in my room when not in use. The wooden spoon is super cute and I add three heaped scoops to my bath but might add more depending on how I’m feeling. It’s perfect for sensitive skin and the scents very mild! If you want a stronger scent you’ll need to add more product to the bath water but I kind of like the subtle scent and just find it comforting after a long day.
Dead Sea Salt Scrub* – One of my favourite products from the new Spa of the World range was the Dead Sea Salt Scrub. The whole formula to this scrub is different to anything I’ve tried! It’s milky and leaves a protective film on the skin after use. It’s not scrubby and gentle enough for sensitive skin types! I normally prefer scrubby scrubs for my body but have been trying lots of milder scrubs as of late, but nothing compares to this one. It’s mild but does a beautiful job at exfoliating the skin and leaving a protective barrier on the skin to hydrate and soften. The water from the shower doesn’t penetrate the skin and sits on top, meaning this scrub hydrates even after being washed off and all through the night. It stimulates circulation and just leaves my skin so much softer and glowing after use! Even the next day my skins still soft and just looking much healthier. Dead Sea Salt has to be my favourite ingredient at the moment and you might have heard me mention this in a review last month here, it’s just perfect for healthy/happier skin. A little goes a long way with this scrub and it’s excellent value for money as the tubs huge! It’s perfect for using before self tanning too. My skin literally feels like silk after using this scrub and I’ll definitely be re-purchasing this as part of my weekly exfoliating routine alongside some harsher scrubs.
The whole Spa of the World range oozes luxury and it stands out compared to other products from The Body Shop with the unique packaging and informative information about each product with a quirky story and ingredients included in the product. Since arriving back my skins been feeling dryer and definitely needs a boost so I cant wait to use these products tonight to restore moisture and suppleness to my skin from sun damage.
I’m hoping to get my travel posts up shortly and spread these out alongside other posts and get back into my blogging routine again! Hopefully you’ve enjoyed this post and stick around for more! 🙂
