Get the look with Pur Minerals

This is my usual minimal evening make-up look for Autumn, simple eyes, bronze contour, a pink toned foundation and berry lip. Everything featured in this Get the look with Pur Minerals post was tried here for the first time, so follow on below to hear my thoughts on the range.

Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Foundation in shade Light* – I wasn’t overly impressed with this foundation and the formula is really thick and much harder to blend compared to other foundations I’ve used. My skin is oily and I just feel the formula isn’t for me! It’s described as lightweight but it felt really heavy on my skin and went slightly patchy and cracked around my nose and chin, which was slightly disappointing. As for the shade it has a dark orange/pink undertone that blends out to match the colour of your skin! I did find this slightly dark but nothing to noticeable but I do prefer light pink undertones in my foundations. I’d say this is more suited to mature complexions or normal to dry skin as it just never worked for me and I do feel it broke me out from time to time. It does last and gives great coverage once you manage to work the product into the skin but I feel because this is a 14 hour long wear foundation that it clogged my pores and never allowed my skin to breath.

MAC Nightmoth – My favourite lip pencil for Autumn/Winter and perfect for evening make-up. I love how deep this is and it works great with my red and plum lipsticks to give a nice contrast and add definition to the lips. The formulas really creamy and lasts hours! Definitely a shade I’d keep on buying again.

Pur Minerals Double Liner* – I loved the aspect of this liner and the fact it contains a liquid felt nib and soft tip. I worked with the soft tip along the water line to open up my eyes and felt nip to create definition. I never applied much of the liquid liner as I wanted my lashes to appear fuller and longer as part of this make-up look. It’s so easy to use this pencil and even more convenient to travel with! Its definitely my favourite eyeliner at the moment and super pigmented too!

Pur Minerals Lip Gloss Stick in Rum Raisin* –  The formula of this was different from anything I’ve come across before with a sheer finish. The consistency is beautiful and not sticky, which is surprising for a gloss like formula. It’s silky soft and applies really well! I liked the sheer finish touch for everyday make-up looks but found it great for building up colour for evening. If I want to create more depth I enjoy using MAC Nightmoth and find both compliment each other really well.

Lord and Berry Treatment and Volumising Mascara – One of my favourite mascaras at the moment with the added benefit of treating the lashes with silk proteins and vitamin E. This formula creates incredible length and volume to the lashes and doesn’t clump!

Pur Minerals CC Air Perfection* – I prefer this formulation compared to the 4-in-1 liquid foundation as the base colour is not as dark and matches my skin tone perfectly, for this reason I used this over the top of the liquid foundation to tone down the darkness of the liquid formula. I now just use this alone when applying my make-up but it does work well under the liquid foundation as it gives light coverage but still covers imperfections. I like the design of this product and its designed with a liquid release cushion to dispense the product. It gives a beautiful dewy finish and it’s very light on the skin and works really well with my complexion! I’ve not experienced any problems from using this alone and the shade is much more reliable. The CC air perfection foundation deeply hydrates the skin with antioxidant ingredients such as Vitamin E and Babassu Oil.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Chocolate – Absolutely love this eyebrow pomade and it’s something I’ve been using for months now and I could see this lasting for months. The shade is perfect and goes well with my hair colour as it isn’t to dark but still compliments my fair skin and red hair. A little goes along way and the formula is waterproof, making it last all day without having to re-apply. It looks so natural and you can play around for depth of colour and enhance definition around the brow bone and tail.

Pur Minerals Universal Marble Powder in Bronze* – The powder is very dense and takes allot of work to get on my brush as it’s so compact! Once applied it’s very light in coverage so I have to reapply to build up the desired colour I want. I also use this to contour and feel the photos have made it appear more compared to what it would be in person due to my awful lighting. I wouldn’t say this powder evens out skin tone but it does provide a healthy glow to the skin and defines really well. This is perfect for Autumn with the pretty earth tones and mixed pearl highlight. The powder comes packed with Vitamin E and nourishing Shea butter that softens the skin and keeps it hydrated throughout the day.

The great thing about the Pur Minerals brand is the fact it’s suitable for vegetarians and vegans and contains natural ingredients, making it perfect for my skin at the moment! I’ve been having troubles with acne and still trying to resolve this so it’s always great to find friendly products that wont irritate my skin even more.

Have you tried Pur Minerals before? What’s your thoughts?
