Scotland is currently going through a major heatwave over the past couple of day’s!! This kind of heat is definitely not the norm for Scotland, and it just makes such a huge difference to the day.
I dressed really light to keep cool, and me and Kyle spent most of the day out in the sun soaking up the rays and eating out at our favourite cafe! It’s just something we don’t get often here and it’s always refreshing to feel the sun hitting of your skin and getting the full rights to dress in the bare minimum to keep cool. It was so hot I actually got my pool sliders out by Beach Athletics and just loved how comfortable these where! Like seriously I never wear flats, but these provided lot’s of comfort with the cushion platform.
I also went with my favourite Lavish Alice trench coat and layered it over this basic ELI CO cropped tank by ALLSAINTS, a new piece I just love for summer as the fabrics light but goes great with everything. You might have noticed my body chain, this is a piece I haven’t got to wear in a long time, and it’s really made me appreciate how much I actually love the design and uniqueness of this piece! This was exclusively designed by Karin at Witches Dust; and it’s basically a rib bone attached to a gold body chain, a true statement piece. I was going to wear shorts, but keep getting drawn back to these extreme ripped jeans! You can style them in so many different ways, so today I turned the bottoms up to show more leg and create a more laid back vibe.
Unfortunately for us the sun will soon disappear over the weekend and we’re expecting good old rain again! I knew this heatwave wouldn’t last long, so just happy we got to enjoy the most of it whilst it lasts and hopefully we will see more of it again in the next coming weeks…
p.s how amazing is the colour depth in these photos? These where actually snapped on the Olympus Pen and I’ve actually started using this more over my DSLR as the colour density really is breathtaking!! At the moment I’m just using the pancake kit lens, but definitely wanted to invest in the 45mm lens for outfit posts with a blur background and more depth.
