If there’s one thing I like to use daily, that would be the elderflower eye gel by The Body Shop; I always like a good eye gel/eye cream to revive and refresh my eyes in the morning and before bed to really work into the thin layer of skin around the eyes.
Unperfumed Eye Gel: The Body Shop
Lucky for me I don’t suffer from puffiness around the eyes, so don’t need to worry about really advanced eye creams that meet certain needs. This is a nice light eye gel that’s used to cool and refresh the eye area, to really lift and relieve tired looking eyes. Taking care of my eyes is one of the most important things to me, so the fact I am in my twenties now it does dawn on me the importance of advanced products that really work into the under layers of the skin for optimum benefits.
I always make sure to wear sunglasses in direct sunlight and in the winter when the suns out just to prevent wrinkles and darkening of the eye area, this also prevents periocular skin cancer and general ageing of the delicate skin that surrounds the eye from over exposure to ultraviolet rays. Dehydration is one of the main causes of under eye puffiness and this is where wearing sunglasses, and using this gel comes in great for keeping the skin hydrated and perky! This gel penetrates the epidermal layer of the skin this being the top layer and doesn’t treat or target eye issues like most “advanced” eye creams would.
It does do a good job at soothing puffiness and brightens the skin around the eye, but it works just as great as a little refresher to use in the morning straight out of the fridge. This is a great little product to maintain healthy skin around the eyes and prevent signs of ageing, the more hydrated the skin that surrounds the eye area, the younger your skin will look and it will look much more refreshed, brightened and less tired looking. The elderflower eye gel has a really nice clean, fresh smell and absorbs into the skin almost immediately for ultimate hydration and less puffy looking eyes.
If you’re looking for an advanced eye gel that targets wrinkles, dark circles, tightens the skin, protects and reduces bags, then this is NOT the eye cream for you! This eye gel does, however, help with under eye puffiness and instantly cools the skin for much brighter, revived eyes.
What’re your thoughts on this eye gel? Have you tried it yet?
