When I added the Dr.PAWPAW multipurpose balms to my pawpaw balm collection a couple of months back, I knew instantly that these would become a firm favourite of mine, and something I religiously use every day! Especially the clear balms.

Tinted Balm: Dr.PAWPAW c/o
You can read my reviews on the Dr.PAWPAW Original Balm and Peach Pink Tint Balm to get an idea of how these work and the multipurpose uses each has. Packed full of hydrating properties, the tinted balms have a high shine finish, making them great for using the lips and cheeks. Personally, I find the formula pretty sticky on my skin and think these would be more suited for normal/dry skin types.
The overall colour pay off really is something else and I love how pigmented these are, and they also look great over a lipstick of a similar shade or used on their own. These really do nourish and soften the skin, making them great for those with drier lips, like myself! The consistency is thick and applies beautifully for a nice dewy finish and glow to the skin if applied as a blusher. On the lips, it creates a nice natural high shine finish without it looking overly done.
I use the tinted balms on my lips and the original one as a multipurpose balm, If my skin wasn’t oily, I would have loved to include these as part of a natural makeup collection to bring some colour to my cheeks, but the formula doesn’t seem to agree with my skin much. Another great aspect about these balms is the fact they’re all natural and nothing synthetic inside the ingredients. I also like how cute the packaging is for travelling with and popping in my handbag on the go.
What’re your thoughts on these balms?

Aww thanks Jessica :’) and I think the tinted balm made my skin look more glowing as its very oily based and does look beautiful on but just to much for my skin unfortunately 🙁 xx

    • Jenny

Thanks Olivia and they do other versions of this! I’d highly recommend the original as you can use it for just about anything! I find the tinted ones much more oily based x

      Thanks x

  • I’ve heard mixed things about the Dr. Pawpaw balms, so I’m intrigued about them. I love balm formulas for everything as I have dry skin, but a couple of people have said the original product smells like rotten fruit (if my memory serves me well)?!

I’ve not seen much reviews on them if I’m honest but definitely love the original! My one doesn’t really have much of a smell tbh! I notice the tinted balms have a slightly fruity scent to them however x

  • MeMe Books

That suits you really well, I’m trying to get back into gloss but I find it too sticky.

Thank you and the tinted balms are very sticky! I do prefer the original formula as it’s slightly thicker but the tinted ones just don’t agree with my skin 🙁 they’re great on the lips if my hairs up, otherwise my hair gets stuck in the gloss haha x

  • I love your blog and your style !♥♥

I definitely need some of this already! Just did a quick store search and they stock it in Urban Outfitters. I’ll totally be picking some of this up soon!

    • They stock them at a couple of stores, mainly online! I’d recommend the original balm to start with 🙂 definitely one of my favourites, I find the tinted ones more oily and not to great if you have oily skin x

  • Love the colour of this on you! I’ve not heard of the brand before but I really like the packaging x

    Always, Alice x
