Welcome to my beauty favourites of 2014, these definitely have made it into my cult favourites and products I will keep returning to time and time again!
KORRES | Starting off with the Korres Volcanic Liquid Eyeliner, this really appelaled to me when I first noticed it on the lookfantastic website and ever since I have been hooked. The volcanic aspect of this eyeliner is what really caught me, and something I really wanted to try! This is ‘very’ long wearing! tbh so long wearing it’s difficult to remove, this can be a real bummer, but at the same time it doesn’t put me off. It dries quickly and gives precision results in a deep matte black with a delightful selection of natural ingredients.
URBAN DECAY | What can I say about the this primer! Honestly it’s just perfect! It’s the best eye primer I have ever used. This Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer really makes eyeshadows stay put for hours without creasing, and I love how easy it is to apply. I really like how it enhances the pigment in each shadow when applied, and you also get the choice of four different primers, this is the original one, but I do love Eden with the gorgeous subtle shimmer laced throughout. One word of advice when using this primer, never spill it on your carpet as its a tough one to get out! 😉
NARS | This foundation has to be one of the most raved about foundations of all time and I can totally see why! This year was the first time I used the Nars Sheer Glow and Nars Sheer Matte foundation(s) and I instantly loved them. It gives medium coverage whilst looking natural and leaves my skin dewy and glowing! I also like how it treats the skin whilst on, and minimizes redness and it also helps to combat blemishes. BENEFIT | I love my mascaras and don’t wear false eyelashes, maybe for an event or something special but false eyelashes aren’t my everyday go to; that being said I have come across Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara* and love how dramatic this is! It’s great for everyday wear and evening, slightly tricky to remove but the results are worth it. This is definitely the best mascara I have come across for dramatic results without the need for eyelash curlers or two coats! One coat of this and I am ready, I do however think the Illamasqua Raven Mascara and Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara are slightly better for removing with the same results, so make sure to check these out also! (They’re Real Review)
ILLAMASQUA | I use this Illamasqua Neutral Palette everyday, mainly for my eyebrows and as a shadow when I feel like putting my naked 3 palette down! This palette is gorgeous and something I have loved during 2014 for its multipurpose routine but for the price I don’t think I will be re-purchasing this and just sticking to the naked palette(s). The shades are very pigmented and beautiful for day and evening wear, another great thing about this is the fact you can use it to define your eyebrows, like I have been doing. (Neutral Palette Review)
URBAN DECAY | The Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette* is a late cult beauty product for me as I just received this early November, but haven’t stopped using it ever since! I never used to bother much with eye make-up during the day but this has completely changed now. It has a gorgeous range of neutral shades with a mixture of shimmers and mattes, it’s just perfection in a palette tbh and something I will be buying every time, and eager to try the others now. NARS | I have actually fallen in love with these Nars Audacious Lipsticks! These have the best formula I have ever come across in a lipstick, I would even go as far to say these are better than MAC. Don’t get me wrong I love MAC lipsticks but sometimes I can find some shades very drying but not the Nars, each shade is very hydrating and never dries on the lips. I just find them a joy to use and cant wait to collect more in 2015! They’re pretty expensive, but the nudes will come in perfect for summer and again they’re not drying formulas like some nudes, and the same with the darker shades. Here I have Annabella* a gorgeous bright poppy red that goes great against my pale skin, so this is a must have for me now! I also have ‘Jeanne’ a pretty deep red for winter and love how vampy this looks. (Audacious Lipstick in Annabella Review)
