At last, we managed to get some sunshine coming our way just in time for these outfit photos, but soon after the rain started to pour down and the fog got thicker and thicker as the evening went on! The weathers been so miserable here as of late and doesn’t seem to be clearing up anytime soon, but fingers crossed the weekend might be different and we get a dry day for once…. :’)

A couple of months back you might have noticed my Winter Wish list post if you’re a regular reader, and one item on this wish list that I really wanted and felt committed to investing in was a pair of Stuart Weitzman knee high boots. These have been seen almost everywhere and I couldn’t stop thinking about them and knew the investment would be worthwhile as I always try to take extra care of my shoes so they last years but somehow suede makes me a little anxious when it comes to the fabric of choice for winter. Suede is always much harder to keep clean and care for compared to leather, thus making it a dedicated piece that needs extra special attention when it comes to storing and protecting.
I was all for buying the Lowland thigh highs as I love thigh highs compared to just below the knee but figured these could look silly on because I am so short and the lowland doesn’t come with a heel compared to the Highland thigh high version. I wanted something flat for everyday wear and thought the Highland might be a little too much and more expensive than the classic 50/50 boots so that’s when I decided to opt for the cheaper version and the fact it’s a classic piece that will work with everything! I was hesitant about the suede pair and decided to order both leather and suede versions to get a feel for the boots and the styles. The suede was so much nicer compared to the leather and it also looked more appealing for nights out and special occasions, dressier I’d say compared to the leather.
The leather pair is cheaper on some sites to the suede but I got mine from Russell and Bromley and the prices come up the same! This was a Christmas gift to myself and I have only worn them once so hopefully, I can get them out the box again soon 🙂 I wanted to keep this outfit pretty casual but chic with the Romwe pinstripe shirt and faux leather coat. These skinny jeans come in perfect for casual and evening wear with the flattering fit and different tones, the knee highs also fit snug over the jeans for an almost seamless appearance. Accessories include my favourite crystal necklace from The Serpents Club and cute pink framed 55mm Ray-Bans that come in perfect for smaller face shapes with the smaller frames compared to the regular 58mm frame.
