On Wednesday night we attended the Company Blog Awards in association with Missguided, and I have just managed to get myself together to write this post. I will admit, I have been rather lazy the past few days, and never really documented much on my trip to London, which I must apologise for right now!!
Some of you might have been expecting lots of photos from the event, and London in general, unfortunately, you will not be seeing much from me. I have really let my blogging side down on this occasion and I put my hands up to this fact, on a good note I have managed to find a few odd photos on my phone… The event was brilliant and the atmosphere was even better, with a large venue and beautiful outside area!!
During the event, we helped our self’s too yummy hot dogs and ice cream on the balcony, to then make our way inside to the main area to receive free drinks with great music and stalls. Arriving fashionably late due to getting slightly lost and manic traffic, we never really stayed for long but managed to spend some time talking to a few bloggers. Sadly I left the camera at the hotel and had to use my iPhone and always find the quality more grainy compared to a good old DSLR!! The room was difficult to get photos in as there was smoke everywhere from the smoke machine, so some images are not so blogging worthy 😛
I had a fantastic time and the food was even better, so I just want to say thanks to Company and Missguided for the event, and unfortunately I never won “Best Designed Blog” :'( but hopefully next year if I am lucky enough to be nominated again by you lovely lot, and massive thanks for your constant support!!
As for London, it was very different from what I am normally used to and very rush!! Coming from a small town in the country, an hour or so from Edinburgh things are very different here and quiet, compared to the big city, but London really is a different story altogether!! It’s huge and getting around was really difficult especially hopping from bus to bus 😉 we did use taxis a lot to get around, and really enjoyed the hustle and bustle. I went with the intention of visiting so many places during my stay, but the cold hard reality is we never really done much but laze around enjoying the food, but we did go to London Bridge for a little nosey and noticed a tiny secluded pub called the George Inn with incredible fresh food made to order which made me exceedingly happy 😉
So nothing too exciting to share with you all on this trip but maybe next time we will stay a little longer and actually do more things, but personally I just loved getting away on a short break and just relaxing. It has now given me the courage to improve my blog content and be more open about things. I have a couple of pictures from the night, and some goody bag pictures from the Company Bag we received at the end of the event. I really like the variety of things we received and the chocolate, so I can’t wait to review everything and opening them up!! The goody bags also included Pop Chips and a small bottle of Shloer, which I already got my hands on before this photo 😉
I will be making blog content more regular, so expect to see four posts a week from Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!! 🙂
