REAL TECHNIQUES CORE COLLECTION

I can’t express how popular these have become, literally every blog I go on has reviewed these beauties! I was reluctant to review these as everybody knows how amazing they are! I am sure most of you own a set of these and if you don’t you really should, no questions asked!Β At first I never really got the hype around these until I managed to pick up a set for myself and just saying I will never look back! πŸ™‚

They are the softest/handiest brushes I have ever owned and you can’t go wrong with the brilliant price tag for the whole set! This set has to be my current favourite as it includes all the essentials and I prefer these brushes compared to the separate ones from Real Techniques such as the “kabuki brush” (Review Here) – I think this brush might have been my most un-liked brush ever haha!

Core Collection by Real Techniques – Β£14.85

The brushes are merely like a feather touching skin, they are so delicate and give such flawless coverage it gives a nice healthy air brushed look as they pack the right amount of product.

The Set Includes:

Detailer Brush: Used for concealing blemishes/redness, Lipstick for long lasting shape and definition. I use this brush for lipstick application it comes in handy for creating a nice natural soft lip especially if you have darker lipsticks that look really harsh straight from the tube.

Pointed Foundation Brush: Works best with liquid foundation/concealer to build custom coverage. I actually used this with my liquid foundations and feel it gives a streaky look this is maybe because the brush is very small and not the average liquid brush size so it only covers smaller areas. I would suggest using this for concealing only to get precision results!

Buffing Brush: Ideal for full coverage application of powder or mineral foundation. The pack states to just use this with powder foundation formulas so this put me off using it with my liquid foundations as I was unsure. After debating for awhile I finally cracked and used this brush and the results are so much better than the pointed brush as it gives an even air brushed look mainly because the brush is larger in size and it buffs the product perfectly into the skin to give a gorgeous application that looks ever so natural!

Contour Brush: Delicately applies highlighter to contour or create a sheer, soft focus finish. As described on the box this really does apply a nice soft delicate layer to the skin giving a nice natural finish! However, you can build the coverage especially if you like a deeper blush hue making it great for building colour but keeping it as natural as possible.

These brushes have saved a large amount of product for me as you don’t need much and the brush really blends the product to create a nice even layer.Β

Have you tried these yet and what are your thoughts?Β

xo, Jenny

I really wanna try them. I don’t think they are expensive for what they are, but maybe it’s a lot of money to pay at one time for someone like me *sigh* broke student like me HAHA! But I think they’re worth it. Lovely post Jenny <3

Ahh this is my favourite and most used brush! I just love how you can use it with powders and liquids and it evenly buffs the product into the skin and tbh its that great its like your not even wearing foundation πŸ˜› xx

They are remarkably cheap I was surprised! I figured they would be over £20 just for one brush never mind the full set :’) xx

We haven’t tried these yet, but we’re heard so many rave reviews. We’re going to have to cave in and pick them up because we’ve been eyeing them for a while now. If we could only get one brush from their set, which one would you recommend?

They are brilliant you really should get these as your first set! I have used other brushes in the past and they don’t compare to these and for the price its a bargain πŸ™‚ I would have to say the foundation brush! Just because everybody uses foundation so its a great first brush to have and you can also use it for other uses such as blusher and bronzer application xx

I’ve never purchased a Real Techniques brush set before as I feel I don’t need all of the brushes as I don’t really wear that much make-up. I am slowly becoming more and more convinced that I could do with buying this set as I’ve seen it EVERYWHERE lol X

I don’t wear much make-up either :o) but I noticed them on offer so decided to get two sets and just love them! I normally just wear foundation and focus on eyebrows and mascara so the brushes come in great for foundation but you can use the rest for highlighting/contouring if your going somewhere special and they work amazingly! I use highlighter/blusher if I am going shopping or doing photos and always turn to this set xx

The set is incredible :’) and I have tried the detail brush for applying lipstick and eyeliner at one point haha but must admit its better used to lipstick πŸ˜› and I figured that I noticed a few comments recommending this brush but noticed it was not included in the set! πŸ™ I will have to get this next haha! ;D

I need to get myself the expert face brush as I do wear foundation so this would be a great brush to buy next as everyone in the comments below highly recommends this and I have not tried it yet haha! πŸ˜€ x
