Such a busy week this has been, looking forward to tomorrow to just relax but before I do decide to relax I have an exciting post for you all. Introducing GLAMGLOW this little beauty is very common in Hollywood’s Entertainment industry for instant fresh glowing skin. Talking about Hollywood and glam last week was awards season and this was the main talking point all over Hollywood, so I thought it would be the perfect time to review this mask as it fits around this concept.

Face Mask/Treatment: GLAMGLOW Youth Mud
Away from the red carpet and back to reality, this mask really does do marvellous things for the skin. The packaging is very nice and tidy and looks very detailed which is a nice concept and highlights the main features and natural ingredients on the front. However, when I opened the box to my surprise I find a rather small pot tucked away in a sturdy piece of cardboard with the brand name printed throughout. The box does, however, state that the contents of the jar contain 15ml of the mask which of course I never thought to check when buying online and got super excited to try for £22.00. The mask itself I loved, you only get 15ml, this is a very small amount but you don’t need to use a lot of the product only a very small amount to get an even coverage.
Leaving on for 10 minutes it really starts to tingle and dries up making a powder like consistency on the skin and this is when I felt it was best to remove with an exfoliating cloth. After removing the product my skin felt super smooth and soft and very healthy with a fresh dewy glow and this did last around 3-4 days after using just like it states on the packaging instructions. The mask did help my spots but there was some slight redness for a few hours after removal. My skin, however, felt brand new and was left feeling very firm and tight in a good way. The overall effects of the mask do last days and are really noticeable even with makeup on as you can really see an in-depth glow and brighter, healthier skin. The results of this mask should leave skin noticeably radiant and glowing, activating moisturizing collagen synthetics providing a gentle resurfacing exfoliation. It also helps to leave skin feeling smoother, brighter and softer, providing a tighter skin texture and tighter pores.
You will also notice a more youthful appearance and protection from free radical damage. It also absorbs any impurities without removing natural oils. I agree with what it states the mask will do and feel overall impressed with the product however for the amount 15ml it is a small amount for £22.00, so I would keep this mask as a treat for when I would find it most beneficial as this would not be a regular mask to use on a weekly basis. Would I buy this product again? Yes, but only for special occasions. The instructions for use state that you should only apply a thin layer to clean skin and to stir before use to liquefy the product. You should then expect a tingling tightening effect within 10 minutes of use. Removing the mask is very easy and should be removed in circular motions as this helps to exfoliate the face whilst removing excess product.
The main active ingredients in this mask range from Volcanic Rock, Green Tea Leaf Extracts to French Sea Clay.
Volcanic Rock is used in cosmetics as an antioxidant and gives a great exfoliation due to its fine-grained crystallized texture.
Green Tea Leaf Extract mostly common in various beverages, health foods, dietary supplements, and cosmetic items. Skin studies of green tea showed protection from skin cancer and also reduces sun damage. Green tea appears to exert sun damage protection by quenching free radicals and reducing inflammation rather than by blocking UV rays. Therefore, green tea may synergistically enhance sun protection. Green tea leaf extracts also help slow down the ageing process, as it contains natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, giving the skin more elastic tissue helping diminish the signs of wrinkles and fine lines.
French Sea Clay is by far the most majestic, most effective mineral skin clay produced. French sea clay has the most valuable elements these ranging from montmorillonite, up to 9 important mineral oxides, magnesium, calcium, potassium, dolomite, silica, copper, silicon, manganese, and selenium. Each element of the clay works with the outer epidermis (skin) in its own way and helping to improve the skin. French sea clay should appear green in colour with a soft texture. The clay is produced in France and its absorptive properties give it a very powerful drying and detoxifying effect as it acts like a magnet for toxins. Clay can be used in the aid of rebuilding healthy skin tissue and cells.
Product Negatives:
  • You receive a very small amount 15ml
  • You need to mix the product before applying for a good consistency
Product Positives:
  • Brightens complexion giving a very radiant glow
  • Skin looks healthy and the effects last for day’s 3-4
  • Skin is left feeling ever so soft and smooth
  • Moisturises the skin + Exfoliates
  • Improves overall skin tone
I really enjoyed doing this post as I have learned many new interesting things, especially on French sea clay so feel really happy about this. I will provide links on where to purchase this product below and want to also include that I will be providing a star rating system which I have included above the product negatives as this will give a clear understanding of how good I feel the product was overall, I will be including this on all cosmetic posts I do in the future and will also try and give you guys before and after photos of my skin and with the product on as I feel this is a good part of a good review so you can see what the product is like in the flesh.
So I hope you have all enjoyed reading this lengthy review and I would love to hear your opinions

xo, Jenny

Have you tried it on ur face? There’s something similar in Malaysia here, its a mud mask or something but I’m not ready to use them. Just wondering how it works? LOL :/

    • Krystel
      3rd February 2013 / 12:35 PM

Yes I have tried on my face + neck as this is a facial mud mask and I am looking for more alternatives and you should try them out as they are great and it just works by cleansing the face and exfoliating the skin rather like a facial peel to leave glowing skin afterwords 🙂 x
